ABOUT DAVID ALDRICH
I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in fine woodworking back in the early '90s and had always been looking for a way to combine that education with my lifelong interest in music. In 2010, I made a documentary film about a famous luthier, which was broadcast on PBS and ended up receiving an Emmy nomination. That experience paved the way for me to step into the world of guitar work. I then studied guitar repair at the American School of Luthiery, taking intensive training courses taught by Charles Fox. That was followed by years of work and collaboration with other people in the trade. At present, my efforts are focused primarily on electric guitar repair work and pickup winding in Seattle, Washington.
